Pray more, worry less.

How do you feel? Are you shining bright with positive energy, or are you endlessly worrying about things not working out as you think they must work out in order for you to be okay and happy? Worrying just ties us up in energetic knots and keeps us from doing anything constructive; it’s an endless loop of negativity and disempowerment that can send us into a downward spiral and leave us feeling stressed out, exhausted, and hopeless. As Carlos Castaneda famous wrote, we can make ourselves miserable or make ourselves happy – the amount of work is the same. Whenever we find ourselves worrying about something, we have only to flip a switch and begin to visualize what we desire with positive thoughts and energy to shift onto an upward spiral of feeling better and better, which will naturally empower us to create more of what we want in life.

What really matters in life is rarely on my to-do list.

Every morning, I wake up with a long to-do list stamped on the forefront of my mind. At the same time, however, my inner wisdom is whispering to me that what I really want is to deeply enjoy my life, not just get a lot of stuff done that won’t matter five years from now. Our daily tasks and concerns are constantly fading away to be replaced by new ones and newer ones after that. In the long run, how much stuff we got done won’t really matter; what will matter is how much love and joy we’ve managed to cultivate for ourselves and others. While I still keep a running to-do list on paper, I’ve moved it out of my head and decided to keep my number one priority simple: to enjoy my life/feel great/be kind and loving. So far, it’s working out way better than when I thought all the stuff I had to get done was of paramount importance.

Amazing Story Contest for the Week of July 29, 2013

[title size=”2″]Dream of Baby With Grandfathers in Spirit[/title]

by Lila

My sister’s baby boy was still born. Naturally, this was a very traumatic time for her.

My father had passed away years before. The night my tiny nephew passed away, I saw my dad in a dream, holding my nephew and telling me not to worry, that the baby was with him and another gentleman. The other gentleman was in the dream as well; he was someone I didn’t know and had never seen before. My dad said to let my sister know that the baby was with him, and that everything would be okay.

When I told my sister about this dream, she broke down and cried. She asked me to describe this other gentleman, and everyone was stunned when he was identified as her partner’s father who had also passed away.

We were all relieved to know that our baby was with his grandfathers; it really helped ease the pain.

I’m so glad I was able to see my dad again, and to help relieve my sister’s suffering.
