Double Vision: Recurring Character in her Dreams

DAILY INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE - MARCH 11, 2016

Every night I see the same person in my dreams. The dreams are all different, but this person is in every one of them. Why would this happen? Who might this be?

Dreamchaser:

When I first started studying dream interpretation, there were a few things I had trouble wrapping my head around, for they didn't make logical sense to me at all.

One of those things was the idea that every single being in our dreams is a part of ourselves. I couldn't figure out how I was both the murderous ax-carrying psycho chasing me in my dream, and also the one being chased by the ax-carrying me!

You keep seeing the same being over and over. The fact that this being looks the same every time is very significant. I feel this is a side of yourself that is trying very hard to get you a message via your dreams.

What is this person doing in your dreams? What colors are they wearing, and what colors surround this person? What do those colors mean to you?

What is this person's facial expression? What sort of energy or vibe do they give off? What does this person make you feel when you make visual contact in your dream?

These are just a few questions to get you started as you try to figure out what the recurring presence of this being in your dreams may mean.

By the way, I don't believe that anyone else can give you a definite interpretation of your dreams. This is something you need to uncover for yourself. It's one of those situations where the journey to understanding is as important as reaching the actual destination, for this is something you and your soul have to work out on your own.

As you lay in your bed right before you go to sleep, however, you can ask your spirit guides to help you make contact with this being so you can figure out why it's always in your dreams. This being is a part of you, so I am basically telling you to go have a talk with that part of yourself.

Your guides will assist you in this endeavor if you just ask them to before you go to sleep. I also suggest that you keep a notebook/ dream journal by your bed so you can write down your dreams' key elements as soon as you wake up.

It may take a while, but if you stick with it and review the dreams you've recorded, you'll start to see patterns and answers in your journal. Most likely, you won't get clarity on the first night, so don't be disappointed if this takes a while.

This part of you has been with you for your whole life, so I imagine it has a lot to say! Give it some time.

I wish you a wonderful, meaningful dream life!

Astrea:

Dreams have puzzled humankind for ages. People have all sorts of dreams that recur in their lives, and many involve the same person over and over again.

In the old-fashioned dream books, these dreams mean that you're either going to hear news from afar or receive financial help from friends. Though these old interpretations are sometimes useful, most counselors today lean toward newer psychological explanations for recurring dreams.

It's difficult to know if the person you're dreaming about is someone you know or don't know, because in dreams, people are often symbolic representations of abstract issues.

To find out if this is a real person you know in physical life, or what they symbolize, just run the dreams over in your head. The answer should come to you on the third try.

When we dream of the same person over and over again, it often means that we have some big unresolved issue in our lives, and this person is the personification of those issues.

It might help to review the dreams and see what else is recurring in them. Are you in the same place every time with this person? Do you travel together? Is there someone that you both recognize and speak to in these dreams? If so, who is it?

Another psychological reason we may dream of the same stranger night after night is there are things we're not satisfied with in our handling of our waking lives. The person in the dream then represents what we want to change about ourselves.

Usually, this has something to do with relationships and how we interact with other people when we're awake. If you've been letting people run all over you at work, for instance, this part of yourself could manifest as that stranger in the dream.

If there is some aspect of your personality that you have trouble accepting, you might also have that part of yourself show up night after night in the form of this other person.

Figure out what needs to change, and once you make that change, this stranger will no longer show up in your dreams.

Of course, there is an obvious metaphysical explanation here. This person could be a Spirit Guide, an Angel, or a deceased relative you've never met who is trying to tell you something. If that's the case, going over what happens in the dreams will bring that information to light.

Usually Guides or Angels will appear in our dreams as tall, slender, larger than life sorts of people who chat with us about our daily lives.

Many times in life we hear, "You will always have what you NEED, but not necessarily what you WANT." Your spirit must have needed to experience the feeling of leaving your human body, and the suggestion in the next chapter of Sylvia Brown's book was all it took to get you there.

Even though you hadn't read it yet, your SOUL recognized the title of that chapter as something it had been seeking, and your soul, knowing that you had that reference to read after your experience, got with it and out you went!

While I don't usually recommend her books, Sylvia Brown has a wide reaching and powerful effect on lots of people. A Gemini like you would be able to relate easily to her writing and put it to good use. Synchronicity - you gotta love it!

I like your description of "getting caught." That's exactly what it feels like, isn't it? One minute you're free and hovering above the room, and the next minute, ZAP! back down into your corporeal form you go!

As a little kid, I loved that "feeling of return." With practice, most of the time we can control that event, but sometimes, when our physical ears hear a distracting noise or something else occurs to knock us back into reality, back we go. With practice you will be able to control your return better.

I find it interesting that you were visiting your mother-in-law and not someone in your own genetic family. Evidently, you and your husband got married for reasons that are even deeper than love. His family's interest in "psychic stuff" will nurture your children in such matters and help them to grow into their own abilities.

You'll never have to be concerned that when your daughter visits them, she'll be discouraged from exploring her own psychic life and power. My parents encouraged me to develop my psychic senses in a time when it wasn't nice to even discuss such things in public. Heck, it's STILL not considered a great topic at the dinner table in some families!

Your kids will get to talk about it ALL and ask questions and read and study. This is going to give them such an edge in life! Talk with your husband about how you want to present this to your kiddos, so that you are united in your approach and ready to tell them their experiences are all natural and okay.

A word or two of warning: Geminis often have difficulty staying grounded in REAL LIFE. Don't get so strung out on your ASTRAL life that you neglect what you're doing here on Earth.

You are at the beginning of a long journey to learn where your power really lies. Try to be patient with this process and take your time.
