My question is about a "lucid dream" experience I had about two years ago. I went on a little trip to San Diego with my boyfriend. We were staying at a friend's house, and I used to have problems sleeping in the same bed with other people, so I decided to get up in the middle of the night and sleep in another room. (As I write this I am getting a lump in my throat - breathe!) I knocked out and yet arrived at a state in which I was still waiting for sleep to come. My back was to the door, and I could feel this heat coming from the hallway, or maybe it was electricity. Then I was able to see a ball of fire energy come in. I was in a state of nervous anticipation the second before this ball entered my body, and when it did, it entered through my solar plexus. The next thing I knew, I was partially paralyzed, crawling in the hallway reaching out for help. I woke up very frightened! I can remember this so clearly, along with other dreams I have had where people I know and trust are performing electric energy healing on me. What is this for? I am a Capricorn born 01/05/82. Was this "dream" positive? Was it designed to rearrange my energy or was something trying to use or manipulate me? Thank you!

Katherine, this experience must have been very scary for you, but I can assure you it was not negative.
Your question brings up so many points, I hope I have enough room to cover them all! The first is that all energy from other living beings (including those on the Otherside, as they are still living, just not in human form) enters our bodies through our solar plexus region. This is the space where your ribs meet. That is why we often say we have "butterflies" in our stomach when we are around some people. We can feel their energy in our solar plexus region. So this ball of energy was from a living entity of some kind, or it would NOT have entered your solar plexus; it would have come in through the top of your head or just simply surrounded you instead.
As I often explain here, when we sleep, our souls go to where they most need to go to heal from today and prepare for tomorrow. As a result, there is MUCH soul work going on while we are sleeping. You just happened to witness the actual work being done. Usually we wake up and feel refreshed and renewed and ready for the day, but are unaware of the healing work that has taken place while we slept that made us feel that way upon awakening. These people you say you trust that are doing energy work on you are absolutely helping you! They are helping you ascend to new spiritual heights.
As we live here on Earth, we naturally evolve. Our evolution is not like climbing a ladder, it is more like going up a spiral staircase. That is why the ancients (especially the ancient Celts) used spirals as spiritual symbols.
We learn the same basic lessons over and over, but we move to a higher level each time. For example, we learn first grade math, second grade math, etc., ever moving up and on. So when we learn lessons and evolve spiritually, everything inside of us needs to be tweaked and put on the same level.
Imagine a car. Now imagine that three of the four tires are inflated properly, but the fourth tire is very low on air. Will the car run properly, or will it be off balance?
It is basically the same with your soul. Just because your mind learns a lesson and is ready to evolve to the next level does not mean that every other aspect of you is ready as well. What you saw in your astral travels were entities adjusting ALL your parts to prepare for smooth ascension to the next level. No one was harming you in any way. It is quite the opposite actually - they were helping you.

Many people who lived past lives in Atlantis have had similar dreams in this Incarnation. People describe this experience in different ways, but often they include a ball of Light or a ball of Fire entering their bodies through the chest or solar plexus, moments of forgetfulness, and waking up in a different location from where they fell asleep. At the time they return to consciousness, they usually feel they have some trouble breathing. Often this experience has been associated with some illness that the person had that has miraculously disappeared or been cured, so there is healing taking place.
It has long been a belief of many people that the residents of Atlantis were way ahead of where modern science now stands in the Healing Arts. They were even said to be able to fly without assistance. Healing is a kind of "Flying." This type of experience is a good thing.
It might mean that a healing GIFT is being returned to the recipient of the Fire Ball Dream. You seem to be on a SPIRITUAL journey, so perhaps this gift was restored to you now for you to use for the rest of your life. You had this gift in many other Incarnations, but perhaps you weren't ready to use it in the right way until the time of your Lucid Dream in this one.
Either way, the Gift is yours now, and it's up to you to discover what it means, what effect it has on your life and what you're meant to do with it. If you find yourself disengaging from people who are a drain to you, it's because you can't afford to waste your energy on TAKERS any more. You're about to begin serving a Higher Purpose, and this can be a disconcerting lifestyle change for you!
Spend at least thirty minutes, twice a day, concentrating on that Ball of Light that is now residing within you, and it's meaning to YOU. Don't be afraid to open yourself up to the experience; it won't hurt you. This is a Life Force your Spirit is trying to integrate into your mind/body/Spirit, so let it into your Harmony.
Within a few months, the purpose of the Gift will be revealed to you through this meditation, and you'll be ready to use it to help yourself and others. It isn't the easiest responsibility to maintain the sort of HEALING EDGE that you'll have now, but you'll have to explore it so that you can understand it. Once you get used to this being a part of you, you won't remember who you were before you knew it was there. It will open your life to people and adventures that you never even dreamed were possible.

Many times in life we hear, "You will always have what you NEED, but not necessarily what you WANT." Your spirit must have needed to experience the feeling of leaving your human body, and the suggestion in the next chapter of Sylvia Brown's book was all it took to get you there.
Even though you hadn't read it yet, your SOUL recognized the title of that chapter as something it had been seeking, and your soul, knowing that you had that reference to read after your experience, got with it and out you went!
While I don't usually recommend her books, Sylvia Brown has a wide reaching and powerful effect on lots of people. A Gemini like you would be able to relate easily to her writing and put it to good use. Synchronicity - you gotta love it!
I like your description of "getting caught." That's exactly what it feels like, isn't it? One minute you're free and hovering above the room, and the next minute, ZAP! back down into your corporeal form you go!
As a little kid, I loved that "feeling of return." With practice, most of the time we can control that event, but sometimes, when our physical ears hear a distracting noise or something else occurs to knock us back into reality, back we go. With practice you will be able to control your return better.
I find it interesting that you were visiting your mother-in-law and not someone in your own genetic family. Evidently, you and your husband got married for reasons that are even deeper than love. His family's interest in "psychic stuff" will nurture your children in such matters and help them to grow into their own abilities.
You'll never have to be concerned that when your daughter visits them, she'll be discouraged from exploring her own psychic life and power. My parents encouraged me to develop my psychic senses in a time when it wasn't nice to even discuss such things in public. Heck, it's STILL not considered a great topic at the dinner table in some families!
Your kids will get to talk about it ALL and ask questions and read and study. This is going to give them such an edge in life! Talk with your husband about how you want to present this to your kiddos, so that you are united in your approach and ready to tell them their experiences are all natural and okay.
A word or two of warning: Geminis often have difficulty staying grounded in REAL LIFE. Don't get so strung out on your ASTRAL life that you neglect what you're doing here on Earth.
You are at the beginning of a long journey to learn where your power really lies. Try to be patient with this process and take your time.
