Two nights ago I had a dream of a little girl. She was around three or four years old with long, dark, beautiful hair, which she wore in pigtails. I remember her smiling and laughing a lot. We talked and laughed and had so much fun together. Then towards the end of the dream, the girl told me she is my husband's and my daughter. This is all I remember of the dream, yet I have not been able to stop thinking about it or the little girl. Do you feel this could be a child we will conceive in the future? I do realize that some dreams are just "dreams," but this one has left a lasting energy. By the way, my husband and I only have one child, a beautiful boy named Isaac. Thank you for your time!

For the record, dreams always have SOME meaning. Sometimes only our souls understand the meaning, however - our logical minds can't comprehend it. So a dream is never "just" a dream.
In this case, I am using the term "dream" very loosely. We know that this was not all in your head - this was a very real experience. You could feel things around you, you could smell things, and you clearly remember how her energy felt. Since we don't have a better word for it in the English language, however, we have to use the term "dream."
As I see it, there are two ways of looking at this experience.
The first possibility is that this girl was indeed your child (and your husband's), but from a past life. Remember, we have a pack of souls that we go from life to life to life with. I call them our "soul family" for lack of a better term.
It is quite possible for us to marry or partner up with the same person in more than one life. It is also possible to have the same souls come in as our children in more than one life. I am quite sure that this girl was your child in a past life. She has also been a part of your experience in other ways, but that is another column.
The other way to look at this is that this child has yet to come into existence as a human being in this world, and she was giving you a head's up that she is available should you choose to have another child. Sometimes souls just decide that they are going to come to this world, and they choose who they want to be their parents.
For example, both of my children are "pill babies," and thus I believe both of my children are supposed to be here. Their souls chose me as their mother, so despite the odds, they decided to just pop into my womb.
That will not happen in your case. You can choose whether you want to give birth to this little girl or not. If you choose NOT to have another child in this life, she will come to you in another life.
She was letting you know that she has already been your child. She reminded you of the connection your souls have and the fun you two have together. Please know that she will not look like she looked in that dream when she comes, should you choose to have her. Also, she may not even be a girl when she is born in this life. She showed you what she looked like in that past life so your soul would recognize her.

I dreamed of my son before he was born. I even dreamed of my granddaughter before she was conceived, so I know it's quite possible that the girl in this dream IS your future daughter.
Many people dream of the children yet to be born to them in their current incarnations. Don't choose a name or paint the nursery too soon, however, because sometimes the gender of the child we dream about is not the same as the gender of the child that is born.
This child may not be the next child you have with your husband, either. She may be born next, or after another child comes along.
She's choosing to come to you in your dreams for a reason. She might have been your child or another relative in an incarnation you've had with your husband prior to this, or she might be a child who has never come to Earth before, and her Angelic soul is gravitating towards the positive energy that you and your husband generate.
If she is someone from a prior incarnation that you shared with your husband, that doesn't necessarily mean you were married at that time. This may be the first time you and your husband have decided to unite in this way.
In that case, she's been waiting to come to you for what may be a very long time, and is eager to get here. In this other past life, you could have been a man or a woman, and she might even have been YOUR mother or one of your husband's parents.
Without knowing where you were before, it's very difficult to pinpoint just who she was to you. It's good that you know who she WILL be, however, so you can prepare to be her mother.
If she is an angelic spirit, then for some reason she has been drawn to the special energy that you and your husband share. Some people say that we don't get to choose our parents, but in this case, they would be wrong.
She is choosing you over all the other couples she could pick to be her family. She's doing this because together, you and your husband create an atmosphere that gives her a feeling of LIGHT, and this is something she doesn't get from other potential parents when she explores her options.
Whatever the reason, she has chosen you two to be her parents for this next life. She knows that she will be safe and nurtured with you, and that you and your husband will give her every opportunity possible to become the best person she can be.
She'll be one smart little girl - and lucky too!

Many times in life we hear, "You will always have what you NEED, but not necessarily what you WANT." Your spirit must have needed to experience the feeling of leaving your human body, and the suggestion in the next chapter of Sylvia Brown's book was all it took to get you there.
Even though you hadn't read it yet, your SOUL recognized the title of that chapter as something it had been seeking, and your soul, knowing that you had that reference to read after your experience, got with it and out you went!
While I don't usually recommend her books, Sylvia Brown has a wide reaching and powerful effect on lots of people. A Gemini like you would be able to relate easily to her writing and put it to good use. Synchronicity - you gotta love it!
I like your description of "getting caught." That's exactly what it feels like, isn't it? One minute you're free and hovering above the room, and the next minute, ZAP! back down into your corporeal form you go!
As a little kid, I loved that "feeling of return." With practice, most of the time we can control that event, but sometimes, when our physical ears hear a distracting noise or something else occurs to knock us back into reality, back we go. With practice you will be able to control your return better.
I find it interesting that you were visiting your mother-in-law and not someone in your own genetic family. Evidently, you and your husband got married for reasons that are even deeper than love. His family's interest in "psychic stuff" will nurture your children in such matters and help them to grow into their own abilities.
You'll never have to be concerned that when your daughter visits them, she'll be discouraged from exploring her own psychic life and power. My parents encouraged me to develop my psychic senses in a time when it wasn't nice to even discuss such things in public. Heck, it's STILL not considered a great topic at the dinner table in some families!
Your kids will get to talk about it ALL and ask questions and read and study. This is going to give them such an edge in life! Talk with your husband about how you want to present this to your kiddos, so that you are united in your approach and ready to tell them their experiences are all natural and okay.
A word or two of warning: Geminis often have difficulty staying grounded in REAL LIFE. Don't get so strung out on your ASTRAL life that you neglect what you're doing here on Earth.
You are at the beginning of a long journey to learn where your power really lies. Try to be patient with this process and take your time.
