DAILY INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE NOVEMBER 16 2014

16-im-nov

“Real life isn’t always going to be perfect or go our way, but the recurring acknowledgement of what is working in our lives can help us not only to survive but surmount our difficulties.”

– Sarah Ban Breathnach

This morning I opened my car payment bill, and it was more than double what it usually is. It included this month’s payment, last month’s payment, plus a late fee. I reviewed my checking account register and saw last month’s payment recorded there. After many phone calls, it was determined that it had been “lost in the mail.” I had to pay to cancel payment on that check, plus the late fee. This all felt very unfair, but I decided it wasn’t worth giving any more energy, for I certainly don’t want to manifest more experiences of this nature. I calmly wrote out the check and deducted the late fee from my account, and then I walked to the mail box to mail that double-plus payment. While there, I blessed the U.S. Postal Service for getting all the other bills I’ve ever paid to where they were supposed to go, for I realized that never before in my life had I expressed any gratitude to the men and women who toil away daily, carting millions of letters hither and yon. I encourage you to take a few moments to send appreciation to the mail service, the telephone company, your working automobile, your electricity — everything and everyone that makes your life better, easier, blessed.
