DAILY INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE NOVEMBER 10 2014

10-im-nov"It is a curious thing...that every creed promises a paradise which will be absolutely uninhabitable for anyone of civilized taste."
- Evelyn Waugh

If we have to abstain from earthly pleasures in order to be admitted into heaven, what happens then? Are we "rewarded" by being allowed all the sensual delights we've forsaken, or do we have to continue to abstain from the pleasures we find most delightful? If we are allowed to satisfy our desires for pleasure in heaven, then how can doing so on earth be wrong? After all, is it not ideal to have life "on earth as it is in heaven?" I believe that the things that bring us pleasure were made to feel good to us because we're supposed to enjoy them.
