It has recently occurred to me that folks who are in high paying, prestigious jobs are not necessarily any happier than folks who bake bread or wash cars or collect garbage. Since most people’s expenses rise to match their income, they may even have just as much financial stress as anyone else, with more demanding jobs on top of it. So often we think a different job or position will make us happier, but is that really the answer?
