We all have things we hope for in the future that we expect to finally make us happy. Some are looking for a perfect lover, others are longing for more money, a whole lot of people are waiting for that far off day when they will be able to retire and at long last be free to really enjoy their lives. When I catch myself longing for a somehow better future, I remember my husband’s uncle, who worked and saved his whole life for the day he would sell his business and finally be able to travel the world: He died of a brain tumor a few months before his retirement date. If we’re going to make the most of the time, love, freedoms and other blessings we’ve been given, we must start really living and enjoying our lives now.
