The more time I make for having fun and deeply enjoying today, the better life seems to get. I used to worry that everything would fall apart if I wasn’t working really hard and vigilantly trying to control every detail, but I now believe that a tense, uptight approach will just waste our lives away one day at a time. Further, instead of things going as I want them to go, pushing hard tends to breed more stress and frustration. Though I still have a hard time believing it sometimes, I have learned that it’s safe and wise to make enjoying our lives our number one priority, for it’s the only way to really live.
