I used to be as guilty as the next person of getting stressed out about having tons to do and not a lot of time for getting it all done. Indeed, no one knows the pressure of a ticking clock like a writer who has spent a lifetime working on deadline. While I used to get so frazzled I would make myself ill, those days are long behind me, for over the years, I’ve learned that whether I’m perfectly on time or not, the world will not end. If you’re tired of being a slave to the clock, you have the power to set yourself free: the key is keep smiling, take it easy, and trust that all is and will be well. While it’s of course important to fulfill our responsibilities, simply doing our best is all we really have to do for everything to work out fine.
