Every day, we have unlimited power to affect and influence other people. The other morning I had the most delightful online chat conversation with a tech support person. When he was over-the-top friendly right off the bat, I sensed that he was tired of frustrated people taking their troubles out on him and was hoping to bring out the best in me, so I decided to try to be the friendliest person he had ever chatted with. Within seconds, we were both laughing and having a great time. I ended the conversation by sending him love and rainbows and kittens, and I know we both parted feeling really good. I like to think that he had a great day after that, that he continues to be over-the-top friendly in hopes of having another delightful experience, and that our one little chat is thus now making a whole lot of people smile. (I know that I’m still smiling about it days later!) Every interaction we have with another person impacts that person for better or worse, and they then go on to impact others, who impact others, and so on. To tap into your own power to make this world a little brighter, radiate over-the-top love and kindness wherever you go and whatever you do. It will make more of a difference than you’ll ever know. –
