I recently realized something that now seems obvious: that channeling guidance from Spirit is very much like the process every artist undertakes when in the creative flow. We’re all familiar with the idea of the muse, which originally was an unseen being that artists would call upon for ideas and inspiration. I realized that when I am writing and allowing words and ideas to flow through me, the process is very similar to what happens when I ask Spirit for guidance and receive ideas and answers in response. Perhaps this is why people who are artistic and right-brained are often considered more ‘spiritual’ than those who are more logical and left-brained: they are simply more adept at the process of opening up to receive inspiration from a source that is far greater than their own limited knowledge and experience. If you want to expand your ability to summon divine help and wisdom, get into a creative flow and study how great ideas come to you.
