One of my all-time favorite movies is Joe Versus the Volcano in which the main character, Joe, is living a very gray, boring, safe sort of life when a doctor erroneously informs him that he is dying. Believing that he has nothing to lose, he then embarks on the greatest adventures of his life. All sorts of wonderful things happen to him because instead of trying to endlessly play it safe, he starts throwing caution to the wind in the name of making the most of the time he has left. Ironically, by taking one bold risk after another in the name of what is most important to him, he ends up more alive and happy in the end than ever. I highly recommend watching this movie if you are feeling bored or uninspired or if you have some big dreams that you are afraid to go for, for it will remind you that your very survival depends upon you continuing to take risks and explore new experiences.
