For years I somehow managed to live in a lovely little fantasyland full of kindhearted, spiritually conscious, courteous and well-intentioned people who understand that what we put out into the world comes back to us. Lately, life has been trying to teach me something new by showing me that there are also a lot of angry, rude and inconsiderate people out there. While I’m not sure what all I’m supposed to be gaining from these unpleasant experiences, I do know that they are great opportunities to practice walking my talk. While I’d prefer to have nothing but upbeat, friendly and positive encounters, I am choosing to view those interactions as practice for being the sort of person I really want to be regardless of how others behave. One thing I know for sure: I never want to give angry people the power to make me feel or behave as they do!
