It was the sudden loss of my son to suicide that started my spiritual journey. While this experience was of course shocking and devastating, it has also made me aware of our spiritual existence. Soon after he died, I was on a mission to get in contact with him. In no time at all, I came upon a blog devoted to spirit communication, and thus my journey began.
As I grew to trust my instincts, I found I could see a swirling, colored fog in the dark. This was often accompanied by what you might call glitter static. A psychic reading validated my feeling that this was my guardian angel.
Soon to follow were synchronicities like meaningful songs playing at just the right moment on the radio, license plates with messages for me, and more. We have even had a few objects move in our home, and we knew it was our son letting us know he was still around.
Two and a half years later, I have no doubt that we have the ability to communicate with our loved ones who have passed. We just need to trust our instincts and look for their messages.
Recently, I wanted to validate my Guardian Angel’s name. I had been told it is a really long name, but that she likes to be called Elle.
One morning, I asked her to somehow let me know that I was calling her the correct name. I couldn’t fathom how this would happen, as I typically go to work and return home and see the same people in my daily routine. That day, I walked into the lunch room and there sat two children, a boy and a girl. They were visiting one of my coworkers. I went about fixing my lunch when I heard someone ask their names. The little girl proudly announced her name was ELLE. She even spelled it! I turned around and smiled; she was such a beautiful little girl with bright eyes, wild curly hair, and freckles. For some reason, I felt a nudge to ask her when her birthday was. She said it was May 18. This really got my attention, for my birthday is May 18 as well.
It is with love and joy that I look for divine guidance and messages. We are all very much blessed by the presence of spirits and angels.
