My fiancé, Jerry, died unexpectedly 17 years ago. I knew his spirit was with me right away. A few nights after he died, I was still staying at his house and his dog, Taz, was sleeping in the bed with me. I looked over at ‘his’ chair, which Taz usually slept in, and it was rocking away. Taz sat up next to me on the bed and looked too. We both knew he was there.
He gave me one last gift: I was missing him horribly and not coping well with him being gone. Within a couple of weeks, I had a dream/visit from him. I was going to a favorite place, and as I climbed the stairs to go inside, I looked up and there he was. He was so bright and happy, full of love. He was in a white tank top and shorts.
I looked at him and told him there was no way he was there because he had died, he was gone! He told me, No, I did not die, I am alive, I am not gone!
I was so happy to see him and to hold him. He was/is alive; only his body died. He still comes to me every now and then.
I now have a good life that is full of love. Every love is different, yet the same: a gift from God of His love to share with each other.
Jerry’s gift to me reaffirmed all of that love and of life everlasting. I look forward to seeing him again. Until then…
