Double Vision: So-Called Psychic Has Her Feeling Scared and Guilty

crystalball

I sought the advice of a psychic. I first gave her $300.00. I could afford this. Now she tells me I need to pay $27,000 to obtain the materials I need to promote healing and rid my life of problems. I was very overwhelmed and frightened by this, and told her that I can't afford this and that we should let this go and let God handle it all from here on out. Her response was that she will have to invest the money herself to save all those involved, and that she will need to take a mortgage out on her home. I feel this is just plain scary and she is not thinking of her own family by spending this money without knowing if she will get it back or not. I am trying not to feel guilty about this. I told her that I can't do this. My husband would just have a fit if I actually gave her the $27,000.

Zonkers, Batgirl! Gather all the information you can about this so-called psychic, turn off your computer, and call the police! Report this person immediately, before she mortgages her home to save someone else. This scam has been going on for centuries. You're being duped, played, fooled, cheated, defrauded, and harmed; some of the stuff she is doing is CRIMINAL.

With the explosion of the internet, incidents of this kind of crime have gone up in astounding numbers. Everywhere there is evidence that the people who used to be content with conning us out of five bucks for a bad reading are out to get everything we have. It's so much easier for them to work people now.

A fake psychic can send thousands of emails that say, I just looked at your astrological chart and I have something extremely urgent to tell you. Your happiness and the lives of your family depend upon you getting back to me right away! This is similar in nature to all those emails about winning millions in some foreign lottery, which we can claim by turning over our bank account numbers.

This person did this to you in person, however, so she'll be easier to catch. It's so easy to be taken in by someone who appears to be an expert. It's also very disheartening to realize that someone who has sworn to help you is just trying to rip you off.

We go to healers, psychics, and medical doctors for help, never suspecting that someone might take advantage of our trust. You trusted this person. She made sure of that. She's been trained since she was a little girl to make you trust her. You're darned right your husband would have a fit if he knew that you even considered giving her that kind of cash!

I know just how she went about getting you to feel the way you do. Don't feel stupid. So many people fall for these criminals that in some cities, the police department has officers assigned to investigate these blood-sucking leeches.

That psychic IS an expert...CROOK! Chances are your local law enforcement agency already has information and a long list of the things she and her family have been doing to people in your area. If you could help them prove that she's guilty of criminal activity, you could save a lot of grief for a lot of unsuspecting, innocent people.

Contact the authorities in your area. They'll know exactly what to do to rid you of your problems - you won't need psychic help for that.

Susyn:

It sounds like you've encountered a very unethical person. Unfortunately, there are people out there who will capitalize on unsuspecting clients by using very frightening or manipulative tactics to scam people out of thousands of dollars.

Under no circumstances should you give her that kind of money. Even $300 is a high price to pay for an initial psychic reading. Her claim that she will take out a mortgage on her house to save all the people involved is simply a tactic to make you feel scared, guilty, gullible and vulnerable.

There is no problem you could possibly have that would require that type of payment, and if you encounter her again, even I would love to know what she is planning to purchase to rid you of your troubles! Her request is nothing short of ridiculous.

Here's one thing to keep in mind when you are seeking the advice of a psychic: you should feel relieved, empowered and hopeful at the end of a session, not frightened, worried or guilt-ridden. Psychics who complete a session and then insist your troubles are so huge that you need to pay them a large some of money are simply trying to play you for a fool.

A sincere, authentic psychic is there to help you release your fears and worries and give you valuable direction and insight. You should feel much more calm, clear and at peace following your first session. After that, you are the one who decides if you want to return for follow-up sessions or work on a particular issue with them. I'd venture to say you didn't feel any better when you left your first session, and probably wish you had spent your money on something else.

I encourage you to report this woman to your local authorities, as she has most likely tried this scam on other people. These so called psychics have been known to bilk people out of tens of thousands of dollars. For those of us who are genuine, conscientious, professional psychic counselors, it's really disheartening to hear about this sort of thing.

I'm sorry to hear you had such a frightening experience. Trust me: you don't have to worry about something bad happening to you or other people in your life if you don't pay her this money. The real trouble would come if you did buy into her cockamamie story. If you let the authorities know what she is up to, you may prevent a lot of other people from being victimized by her scams, which should bring you good karma and good fortune.

Many times in life we hear, "You will always have what you NEED, but not necessarily what you WANT." Your spirit must have needed to experience the feeling of leaving your human body, and the suggestion in the next chapter of Sylvia Brown's book was all it took to get you there.

Even though you hadn't read it yet, your SOUL recognized the title of that chapter as something it had been seeking, and your soul, knowing that you had that reference to read after your experience, got with it and out you went!

While I don't usually recommend her books, Sylvia Brown has a wide reaching and powerful effect on lots of people. A Gemini like you would be able to relate easily to her writing and put it to good use. Synchronicity - you gotta love it!

I like your description of "getting caught." That's exactly what it feels like, isn't it? One minute you're free and hovering above the room, and the next minute, ZAP! back down into your corporeal form you go!

As a little kid, I loved that "feeling of return." With practice, most of the time we can control that event, but sometimes, when our physical ears hear a distracting noise or something else occurs to knock us back into reality, back we go. With practice you will be able to control your return better.

I find it interesting that you were visiting your mother-in-law and not someone in your own genetic family. Evidently, you and your husband got married for reasons that are even deeper than love. His family's interest in "psychic stuff" will nurture your children in such matters and help them to grow into their own abilities.

You'll never have to be concerned that when your daughter visits them, she'll be discouraged from exploring her own psychic life and power. My parents encouraged me to develop my psychic senses in a time when it wasn't nice to even discuss such things in public. Heck, it's STILL not considered a great topic at the dinner table in some families!

Your kids will get to talk about it ALL and ask questions and read and study. This is going to give them such an edge in life! Talk with your husband about how you want to present this to your kiddos, so that you are united in your approach and ready to tell them their experiences are all natural and okay.

A word or two of warning: Geminis often have difficulty staying grounded in REAL LIFE. Don't get so strung out on your ASTRAL life that you neglect what you're doing here on Earth.

You are at the beginning of a long journey to learn where your power really lies. Try to be patient with this process and take your time.
